In order to create capacity for further coronavirus vaccinations to take place, our local Clinical Commissioning Group have stated that we are to remain open, from 1300 on Friday, for urgent enquiries only.
After this time, the surgery telephone lines will not be available until 0800 on Monday 1st February 2021.
During this afternoon, urgent clinical queries can be directed to the 111 service. There will be one GP remaining in the surgery and 111 will have the ability to book appointments with that GP where clinically appropriate and should a patient need to be seen in person we will discuss access to the surgery with those patients directly.
Relevant members of our staff will be deployed in support of the local vaccination effort during this time either on home visits or at Oakland’s Village. For the avoidance of doubt there will be NO vaccinations taking place in our surgery at this time and attendance for vaccination remains by prior arranged appointment only.
The other 4 surgeries in the Swadlincote Primary care network will be doing the same as us as a result of a regional ask to operate in this way by the Derby and Derbyshire NHS Clinical Commissioning Group.
